Description

The Foxtail Mini rope skimmer is capable of recovering large quantities of oil in both calm and rough sea.

Heavy and light oils are collected from the water surface by the Foxtail Mini rope skimmer's endless high-performance adhesion bands (mops). These fibrillated polypropylene bands collect (adhere) oil when moving through the water. The oil is squeezed out of the Foxtail Mini rope skimmer inside the machine with special rollers.

Oil collected in the vertical adhesion band (VAB) is then pumped onboard/ashore into the collection tank. Foxtail Mini rope skimmers are lightweight and can be moved by 1 or 2 persons on shorelines. This means that this rope skimmer can be used in places that are not accessible using a standard Foxtail without having to rely on machine power to lift or move it.
