Description
Application:The storage of oil containment boom on reels protects the boom from physical damage or attack from vermin. Boom Reels allow rapid deployment of boom in the event of a spill.

Boom Reels allow oil containment boom to be stored, deployed and recovered rapidly and efficiently after a deployment exercise.
- Oil Containment boom stored on a reel is less likely to be damaged as a result of dragging across wharves, jetties, pylons, rocks, barnacles or other abrasive surfaces.

Reels are individually manufactured to suit the type, size and length of boom.

Drum diameter and hub length can be made to suit specific site or storage conditions.

Manual Rewind Boom Reels are manufactured with high density polyethylene drums for maximum corrosion resistance in marine environments. Frames are manufactured in painted steel, galvanised steel or stainless steel.

Reels can be provided with optional PVC covers to protect the stored boom from UV degradation.
