Spill type: Absorbs oil, fuel, diesel, petrol & other hydrocarbons.
Application: Socks float on water to absorb oil and fuel spills in bilges.
Absorbent capacity:6 litres per sock.
- Use in bilges (or interceptor pits) of all sizes to absorb free oil floating on the surface.
- High capacity absorbency makes bilge socks ideal for quick response mop up for large pooled oil/fuel spills floating on water.
- Made from Envirosorb™ polypropylene with exceptional oil/fuel absorbency. Envirosorb™ is able to recover up to 20 times its own weight in oil.
- Excellent water repellent characteristics (hydrophobic).
- Heavy duty knitted outer mesh sleeve provides tensile strength and UV protection.
- Eyelets at each end allow connection of multiple socks together.
- High absorbency to weight ratio = lower transport & disposal costs.
- Tough, durable, non allergenic, non hazardous and dust free.
- Socks are naturally buoyant and float partially submerged when saturated with hydrocarbons.

Absorbents retain the characteristics of the absorbed liquid. Appropriate PPE should be worn and disposal of used absorbents should be via incineration or to approved landfill in accordance with local regulations.
